How it works

Peel, place, press.

Sealyn is a three-layer marine-grade laminate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. No contact adhesive, no spray glue, no professional fitter. Just a clean surface and an afternoon.

Three layers, one tile

Engineered for humidity, salt air, temperature swings and direct sun through cabin windows.

1

Textile face

A soft, UV-stable marine-grade textile finish that reads as a considered upgrade, not a patch job.

2

Closed-cell foam core

Thermal insulation, acoustic dampening and impact comfort. Choose 3 mm flex or 6 mm performance.

3

Adhesive backing

Marine-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive. Peel, place, press. No contact adhesive, no mess.

Install in an afternoon

No contact adhesive, no professional fitter. If you can measure and press, you can fit Sealyn.

1

Clean the surface

Wipe the cabin wall or ceiling clean and dry. The adhesive bonds best to a smooth, grease-free surface.

2

Plan your layout

Dry-lay a few tiles to set your pattern and starting line, especially for hexagons and staggered rectangles.

3

Peel & press

Peel the backing, position the tile, and press firmly from the centre out. Reposition-friendly for the first few seconds.

4

Trim the edges

Score and trim tiles at corners and fittings with a sharp blade for a clean, built-in finish.

Where it sticks

Sealyn bonds to most clean, smooth, dry interior surfaces. If in doubt, order a sample pack and test a tile first.

✓

Fibreglass & gelcoat

The most common cabin surface. Clean, dry and lightly degreased is all it needs.

✓

Marine ply & timber

Sealed or painted timber works well. Bare, porous timber should be sealed first.

✓

Painted metal & alloy

Sound painted surfaces are fine. Ensure there is no chalking or flaking paint.

✕

Not suitable

Wet or below-waterline areas, flexible vinyl, dusty or crumbling surfaces, and anything permanently damp.

Common questions

Still unsure? Send us a message and we will answer directly.

How much does one pack cover?

Each pack contains twelve tiles, covering approximately one square metre. Use the calculator to work out packs for your area. It adds a waste allowance for cuts and edges.

Which core should I choose, 3 mm or 6 mm?

Choose 3 mm where you need flexibility to conform to tighter curves and uneven surfaces. Choose 6 mm for flatter walls and ceilings where you want stronger thermal and acoustic performance.

Do I need special tools?

No. A clean cloth, a tape measure, a straight edge and a sharp blade for trimming are enough for a typical install.

Can I remove or reposition tiles?

Tiles are reposition-friendly for the first few seconds after placement. Once pressed firmly they form a durable bond, so plan your layout before you commit.

Can I try before buying a full order?

Yes. A sample pack is the best way to check colour and adhesion on your own surface before ordering for the whole cabin.
